What separates the Rambler Backpack from its competitors? First, we started by combining water-resistant waxed canvas and durable water-resistant nylon, which happens to be the bread and butter of Old Enfield designs. Both are rugged fabrics designed to protect you and your gear from rain, sleet, and snow. Weight was a consideration whiles designing this pack, so we opted with a mid-weight waxed canvas fabric, as well as a lighter nylon fabric. Although we used lighter weight fabrics, we still made sure that they’re just as tough.
Next, we wanted to make sure that the Rambler was not only durable, but also functional. The front pouch consists of a zippered pocket that is lined on each side. Multiple pen slots, and an envelope pocket for small effects. The Rambler Backpack has a slim profile but boasts a surprisingly spacious main pouch. You’ll be shocked by how much you can fit in it. Finally, we wanted your laptop to be safe from drops, hard landings, and harsh weather that can be common when using a pack as rough as the Rambler. So, we completely encased the laptop section with padding and used YKK waterproof zippers to secure it.
